Centre for Musical Minds Spreads Holiday Cheer Through Music & Giving
Over $1,500 in Toys, Food & Supplies Donated to Support Local Families
The Centre for Musical Minds (CMM) kicked off the holiday season with its annual December recitals, “The Gift of Music: A Celebration of Joy, Hope & Peace,” held December 6th and 7th at The Gallery 8680 in Frisco. Through six performances featuring students of all ages, the CMM community embraced the spirit of the season in more ways than one.
This year, CMM proudly launched a community Toy, Food and Supplies Drive as part of the celebration. It was a call to action that students, families and guests answered generously. Together, the CMM community donated over $1,500 worth of essential items to support three nonprofit organizations serving local families:
- Frisco ReFresh – Providing hygiene and essential care items for families in need
- Frisco FastPacs – Ensuring children have nutritious meals when school is not in session
- Frisco Family Services – Assisting neighbors facing crisis and empowering long-term stability
“We believe music has the power to inspire connection, empathy and hope,” said Kristin Yost, Founder and Executive Director of CMM. “Through this event, we wanted our students to not only share their courage and musical accomplishments, but also experience how their gifts can create positive change in our community.”
Giving the Gift of Music
In addition to community donations, CMM encourages families to think beyond toys and gadgets this year and give the Gift of Music. Piano lessons offer a meaningful experience that builds confidence, creativity, and lifelong skills. Gift options are available for:
