Clark Cavender

Clark Cavender is a Texas native who is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Piano Pedagogy at Texas Woman’s University. Clark teaches students of all ages and backgrounds, whether they are new to piano or music in general, or if they are an experienced musician or are returning to piano after a long absence. Learning piano requires dedication, and Clark believes that this journey should be one that fosters a love and appreciation for music that lasts a lifetime.Clark spent much of his youth involved in community service, gaining the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. The skills he honed over many years of service and diligence have fostered a strong commitment to education as a foundation for personal growth in his students.

Clark received his Bachelor’s degree from TWU where he studies under Dr. Richard Shuster for piano pedagogy, and has made both the Dean’s list and the Chancellor’s list for academic performance. Starting in 2021, Clark became the student head of the Lead The Way program, which provides music to the residents of the Denton State Supported Living Center who otherwise are unable to attend live musical performances. He continues his service to the DSSLC and the Lead The Way program as a graduate assistant at TWU. Clark competed in the Texoma Piano Competition and has given many lecture recitals featuring the works of Beethoven, Debussy, and Rachmaninoff.
